The Sizzano wine is named after the homonymous town of Piedmont. It's one of the most important denominations of the Novara Hills. It's produced in the Sizzano municipality. This wine had already been appreciated in the Middle Ages by the noble families, bishops and abbots.
The alcoholic fermentation is traditional, in red, with the use of selected yeasts. The wine completes its fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and is then racked into French oak barrels where it matures for a long time.
Later it is bottled and moved to cellars in controlled temperature and humidity for the second refinement.
Longeval wine that can be drunk even ten years after the harvest.
Deep ruby color with garnet hues. Bouquet enveloping with notes of violet, red fruits and hints of spice. To the palate it is savoury, dry, with a great harmony of primary and secondary elements that together make it pleasant, velvety and of very persistent finish. Great pairing with red meats, game and spicy cheeses.
